Bio
I received my undergrad at Cedarville University in Communications. Upon graduation, I took an exciting, but challenging job for a small IT company working as the director for SEO and Social Media Marketing. After working in that position for a year, I was offered a job at LexisNexis, a large software and research firm for attorneys, governments, corporations and schools. I now work at LexisNexis as a Sales Commissions Analyst.
Hobbies
I truly enjoy marketing. While my educational background mainly touched on traditional marketing strategies and research, my work experience with digital marketing unveiled a completely new and exciting aspect in the marketing mix… When I am not working or reading up on SEO, I absolutely love the outdoors. Whether it is running, biking, camping, backpacking or kayaking, I greatly enjoy getting away from the computer / cell phones. I find that this time away from work and the business of life is both necessary and rejuvenating. Finally, I love travelling, trying local brews and visiting local coffee shops. God created such a wonderful world with so many unique opportunities and experiences to be had!
Passions
I love to find creative solutions to finding a sustainable income, and I hope to start a business that will eventually support me fulltime. Currently, I am working with some awesome people on starting an organization in Cambodia to assist women who have been targeted by sex trafficking by helping teach them life skills that will enable them to support their families without turning to prostitution to help support their family. As of September 1, 2011, we are in the planning / researching phase of starting this organization. If you have any skills (web development, legal expertise, fundraising experience) and would like to help us, I would love it if you contacted me.
